Chris Ciambarella

Coach Chris Ciambarella is the JV Girls Basketball Coach at WRA, where he brings a wealth of experience from his coaching career. Before joining WRA, Chris served as the Assistant Head Coach for the girls varsity basketball team at Taipei American School from 2018 to 2022. He also held the role of Head Coach for both the girls varsity basketball team at La Lumiere High School (2014-2017), and the boys varsity basketball team at Verde Valley High School (2011-2013).

In addition to coaching, Coach Ciambarella is a dedicated teacher in the Social Science Department at WRA. He holds a Master’s degree in History from the University of California-San Diego, a Master’s of Education in Social Studies Education from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Wake Forest University.

As the JV Girls Basketball Head Coach, Ciambarella has two primary goals: first, to help players of all skill levels develop a love and appreciation for the game, and second, to support players who are eager to accelerate their skills and eventually join the Varsity program. His coaching philosophy is all about building strong foundations while encouraging growth and development on and off the court.
