Mr. Stiver has been a valued member of the Western Reserve Academy community since 2011, currently serving as Head Athletic Trainer and educator. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a specialty in Athletic Training from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Akron. Before joining WRA, he worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Associate Lecturer at the University of Akron. At Reserve, Mr. Stiver teaches Principles of Athletic Training and Advanced Principles of Athletic Training. As Head Athletic Trainer, he collaborates with the Health Center to ensure the best possible care for WRA students. Residing in Canton with his wife, Katie, and their three children, Mr. Stiver is an active member of the Akron and District Pipe Band, often playing his bagpipes near the Murdough Athletic Center. His other hobbies include lifting weights, metalworking, competing in Spartan races and glassblowing.
