Coach Abbi Woodward coaches Western Reserve Academy's Girls Soccer teams, leading players in both the winter and spring seasons. With a lifelong passion for the game, she played soccer throughout high school and continued her love for the sport at the collegiate level through intramural competition.
Coach Woodward brings a unique perspective to coaching, having previously worked with preschool-aged soccer players, where she developed a patient and nurturing coaching style.
Beyond the field, Coach Woodward serves as a mathematics teacher at WRA and resides in Bicknell dorm, fostering connections with students both academically and personally. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Malone University and a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Akron.
In her free time, Coach Woodward enjoys baking, reading and hiking, hobbies that reflect her creative and balanced approach to life.
Woodward’s coaching philosophy centers on developing the whole person. She believes that while athletic growth is important, it should never overshadow a student’s personal development. By building strong relationships and fostering trust, she creates an environment where players thrive both on and off the field.
