Coach Ian Miller enters his second year as Head Wrestling Coach at Western Reserve Academy. With a solid coaching background, Coach Miller is dedicated to developing both the skills and character of his athletes.
Coach Miller, a standout wrestler at Kent State University, achieved impressive accolades during his four-year varsity career. He became a 3-time NCAA Division I All-American, a 3-time MAC Conference Champion, and a 2-time University National Champion. Before his collegiate success, Miller made his mark in high school as the 2010 Ohio High School State Champion, 2009 Walsh Ironman Runner-Up, and 2010 Walsh Ironman Champion. He was also ranked as the #2 recruit in the country at 153 pounds from 2010-2011. His coaching career began with four years as an assistant coach at Oregon State University, followed by three years at Appalachian State University.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Miller is the Assistant Athletic Director at WRA. Originally from Oak Harbor, OH, he lives in Hudson with his wife, Emily, and their cat, Tucker. Outside of wrestling, Coach Miller enjoys vacationing, fishing and hiking/exploring new areas.
