Born and raised in Akron, Carmen grew up immersed in soccer, learning from her father, the longtime varsity boys soccer coach at Walsh Jesuit High School. As a standout player at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School, Carmen continued her career at The Ohio State University, where she was the team’s leading goal scorer. Following graduation, she played professionally with the Cleveland Eclipse before beginning a coaching career that now spans more than 20 years. Her teams have captured five state championships and one runner-up finish, and most recently, she served as an assistant coach at Ursuline College, a Division II NCAA program.
Carmen brings to Reserve a philosophy that emphasizes both competitive excellence and personal growth. With a possession-oriented style of play and a focus on building a positive, supportive culture, she hopes her athletes find joy and success both on and off the field.
