The WRA softball team opened its season on April 9 at home against CVCA, falling 20–0.
Despite the result, the team showed resilience and a positive spirit throughout a challenging game. Emma Arter '28 pitched in her first game of the season and battled throughout, showing toughness even after a mid-game collision.
In the field, Neve Fouser '29 and Lydia Lockwood '26 made key plays in the outfield, helping limit additional scoring opportunities. Behind the plate, Arya Shirsat '26 and Ishana Raj '26 both stepped into the catcher role for the first time and delivered strong performances.
Throughout the game, the team maintained a great attitude, continuing to support and uplift one another from start to finish.
WRA will look to build on the experience as they prepare for their next game on Tuesday, April 14, at home against Villa-Angela St. Joseph.
