The WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team hosted Hawken on Saturday, September 6, and put up a strong fight before falling in straight sets, 21–25, 22–25, 19–25.

Despite the final score, the Pioneers showed grit and determination throughout the match, keeping each set competitive against a skilled opponent. Amelia Owens '28 was voted Player of the Game after sparking momentum with key serving runs and timely offensive plays. Riley Brainerd '28 set the tone as the team's assist leader, while Nicole Neal '26 powered the attack with a team-high in kills.

The Pioneers now turn their attention to the WRA Invitational Tournament on Saturday, September 13, where they'll look to bounce back on their home court.
