The WRA Girls Varsity Tennis team earned a dominant 5–0 victory over Highland on Tuesday, September 2, in their first home match of the season at the WRA Tennis Center. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 2–0 on the year.

Denisse Jimenez Robles '26 opened the scoring in commanding fashion at #1 singles, defeating Lily Hantz 6–0, 6–0. At #3 singles, Sia Mahesh '27 extended the lead with a 6–0, 6–0 win over Sarah Kelly. The clinching point came at #2 singles, where Rithi Hegde '29 turned in a strong performance with a 6–1, 6–0 victory over Claire Schlak.

In doubles play, the Pioneers stayed sharp. At #1 doubles, Lela Yajnik '27 and Sasha Hillard '29 posted a 6–0, 6–4 win, while the #2 doubles team of Lauren Keller '27 and Riya Patel '26 secured the final point with a 6–3, 6–2 victory.
