Pioneers Dominate Bulldog Invitational with Perfect Sweep

The WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team traveled to the Bulldog Invitational on Saturday and delivered a flawless performance, sweeping Cleveland Max Hayes, Bard, and Garfield Heights to capture the tournament title. The Pioneers did not drop a set all day, showcasing dominance from start to finish.

WRA opened with a commanding win over Max Hayes (25–3, 25–7), followed by another strong showing against Bard (25–10, 25–11). In the final matchup, the Pioneers overpowered Garfield Heights (25–6, 25–10), sealing a perfect 6–0 set record on the day.

Senior Maria Moran '26 earned the Spirit Ball award after her steady leadership and consistent play. Setter Riley Brainerd '28 fueled the offense with an impressive 42 assists, while Nicole Neal '26 hammered home 30 kills across the tournament. Freshman Cameron Van Dyke '29 added a powerful presence at the net, finishing with 17 kills and 9 blocks.

With the sweep, the Pioneers continue to build momentum heading into their next home match on Wednesday, October 1, against SPIRE Academy.
