The WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team picked up a hard-fought 3–1 win over Cornerstone Christian Academy on Thursday night at home. The Pioneers opened strong with a 25–14 first-set victory before dropping the second 20–25. They regrouped to take the third set 25–22 and closed out the match with a composed 25–19 win in the fourth.
Sophomore setter Riley Brainerd '28 highlighted the night by surpassing a career milestone of 500 assists at WRA, dishing out 38 assists in the match alone. Livia Farian '28 kept the momentum rolling with 21 serves and 7 digs, providing key stability in the back row. Nicole Neal '26 powered the attack with 14 kills and added 3 aces to fuel the victory.
The Pioneers now look ahead to a challenging test on the road at the Bulldog Invitational Tournament on Saturday, September 27.
