The weather cleared on Thursday afternoon, and the WRA Girls Varsity Tennis team took full advantage, rolling to a 5–0 victory over Beachwood at home. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 13–0 on the season, matching the undefeated start of last year's squad and maintaining their hold on first place in the NEO High School Tennis League.

Rithi Hegde '29 continued her strong debut season with a convincing 6–0, 6–1 victory at #2 singles, while Sia Mahesh '27 sealed the team win with a composed 6–1, 6–1 triumph at #3 singles.
Beachwood brought veteran strength in doubles, but WRA proved up to the challenge. At #2 doubles, Riya Patel '26 and Carina Tang '28 battled through a tight first set before pulling away for a 6–4, 6–1 win, highlighted by Patel's aggressive net play. At #1 doubles, the undefeated duo of Sasha Hillard '29 and Lela Yajnik '27 stayed perfect on the year, notching a 6–3, 6–2 win to close out the sweep.
The Pioneers now turn their attention to a long road trip as they travel to Pennsylvania to take on Mercersburg Academy on Saturday, September 27.
