On Saturday, September 13, the WRA Girls Varsity Volleyball team hosted Mogadore, Laurel, and Andrews Osborne in the WRA Round Robin Invitational. Despite facing injuries and illnesses that forced several lineup changes, the Pioneers showed resilience and flexibility throughout the day.
WRA dropped their opening matches to Mogadore (14–25, 25–27) and Laurel (22–25, 17–25) but bounced back with a hard-fought victory over Andrews Osborne (15–25, 25–11, 25–20) to close out the day on a high note. Shiloh Nelson '29 made her varsity debut and was honored as Player of the Tournament with the team's Spirit Ball award, while Amelia Owens '28 delivered key serving runs that swung momentum in crucial moments. Offensively, Cameron Van Dyke '29 and Nicole Neal '26 led the attack with consistency and power, and Sass Huff '26 was a defensive force, keeping rallies alive with her hustle and determination.
The Pioneers' ability to adapt and compete in multiple lineups demonstrated their depth and commitment as a team.
