The WRA Girls Varsity Tennis team won its seventh straight match, besting the Aurora Greenmen 5-0 on Thursday at the WRA tennis courts. The win moves the Pioneers to a 7-0 mark on the season.

Strong play on every court propelled the Pioneers. WRA's Denisse Jimenez-Robles '26 won the first point at #3 Singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Aurora's Addison Martin. The Pioneers Mikaela Chirita '26 posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #2 Singles over Aurora's Zelie Cerda. The clinching point came at #2 Doubles when WRA's Lela Yajnik '27 and Lauren Keller '27 scored a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Aurora's Ashley Kohl and Eliza Cunningham. The WRA #1 Doubles team of Sia Mahesh '27 and Sehar Mahesh '25 posted point 4 by defeating Aurora's Sophie Cifani and Logan Archibald 6-0, 6-3. The final match on court was completed in the Pioneers favor when #1 Singles player Riya Hegde '25 defeated the Greenmen's Kamy Milano 6-2, 6-0.

The Girls Varsity Tennis team's next match is Friday, September 6 on the road at Solon. Match time is approximately 4:00pm.
