The WRA Girls Varsity Tennis returned to the courts on Friday, traveled to Avon and returned with a 5-0 victory. The Pioneers moved to a 13-1 record on the year with the win.

All three Pioneer singles players won their matches 6-0, 6-0. Riya Hegde '25 at #1 Singles, Mikaela Chirita '26 at #2 Singles and Denisse Jimenez-Robles '26 at #3 Singles. Lela Yajnik '27 and Sia Mahesh '27 took a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1 Doubles, and Sehar Mahesh '25 and Lauren Keller '27 posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory at #2 Doubles.

The Pioneers next match will be Tuesday, September 24 when they travel to Orange to play the #2 ranked Orange Lions in a Northeast Ohio High School Division A showdown.
