The WRA Girls Varsity Tennis kept its unbeaten streak intact on Wednesday when they traveled to Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School and came away with a 4-1 win.

Mikaela Chirita '26 scored the first point for the Pioneers at #1 Singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over NDCL's Sienna Koler. At #3 Singles, WRA's Lela Yajnik notched a 6-1, 6-0 win over the Lions' Makenna Marrott, moving the team score to 2-0. NDCL made it 2-1 at #1 Doubles when Elena Fleming and Ella Workinger defeated WRA's Riya Hedge '25 and Denisse Jimenez-Robles '26, 6-1, 6-3. The Pioneers clinched the match when #2 Singles player Sia Mahesh '27 posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over the Lions' Kiera O'Brien. Rounding out the match and claiming the 4th point for WRA at #2 Doubles was Riya Patel '26 and Sehar Mahesh "25, who claimed a 6-2, 6-4 win over NDCL's Lucy Paulin and Lea Nemer.

The Girls Varsity Tennis team's next match is on Thursday, September 19, when they host Hathaway Brown in a NE Ohio Division A League battle.
